Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Back of House Team Member to join our kitchen team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality food, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to supporting their team. Prior kitchen experience is an asset but not required, comprehensive training will be provided to ensure success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Chick-fil-A standards and recipes
- Ensure all food is prepared quickly, accurately, and with attention to quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including equipment and workstations
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with front of house team members to ensure smooth order flow
- Manage time effectively during high-volume periods to meet service expectations
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures as required
- Support team members in maintaining a positive, efficient, and team-focused environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established systems and processes
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and movement
