South West Bulk Express is currently accepting resumes for the position of Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Technician (will consider apprentices) for our Calgary location. This is a full-time local position, and hourly wage will commensurate with experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs inspections, diagnosis and repairs to tractors as well as bulk transfer trailers and related systems.
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Performs maintenance related work as required.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with company standards.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician or registered apprentice.
- Valid CVIP license.
- Competency using various computer systems to record and document repairs and diagnose problems.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Must be able to supply your own set of hand tools to perform basic repairs.
Physical Demands and Equipment
- Physical requirements of this position include the ability to push, pull, drag, and lift items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally must work at shoulder level with equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Travel to off-site locations may be required.
- Overtime as required.
