Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Law Clerk specializing in Accident Benefits to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support lawyers by managing case documentation, LAT applications, and ensuring the smooth progression of legal processes related to Accident Benefits claims.
Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents, correspondence, and reports related to accident benefits cases
- Manage case files and ensure all documentation is accurately filed and organized
- Correspond with clients
- Handle administrative duties including filing, scheduling appointments, and managing phone etiquette with clients and external parties
- Support lawyers in preparing for hearings, meetings, and negotiations by organizing necessary materials
Skills
- Proven proofreading skills with strong attention to detail in legal documentation
- Effective project management abilities to coordinate multiple cases simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills for client interactions and fact-gathering
- Solid administrative experience including data entry, filing, and clerical tasks
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload efficiently
- Knowledge of legal procedures related to accident benefits claims
- Professional phone etiquette for communicating with clients and insurance companies
