Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead and optimize our warehouse operations. The warehouse supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and fostering a high-performing team
This role ensures the efficient flow of goods from inbound to outbound transport with minimal handling and dwell time, while maintaining high standards for accuracy, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to achieve productivity targets while maintaining safety standards and schedule adherence.
- Effectively delegate tasks and ensure timely and accurate completion of work. Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing constructive feedback, and support employee development and training initiatives.
- Proactively resolve personnel, equipment, and workflow issues to minimize disruptions and maintain operational efficiency.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment that encourages accountability and engagement.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, loading, and shipping of products and materials.
- Ensure accurate handling, movement, and storage of inventory to maintain data integrity and minimize loss or damage.
- Monitor and continuously optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is properly maintained and operational; coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance as required.
- Ensure compliance with inbound and outbound processes, including FIFO and quality control standards.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements, including health and safety and, where applicable, food safety standards.
- Train and onboard team members on safety procedures, equipment operation, and warehouse best practices to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a warehouse supervisory or lead role
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and workflow processes
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Basic computer proficiency, including warehouse management systems (WMS), Google Workspace, or similar platforms
- Experience with inventory systems and RF scanners is considered an asset
Working Conditions
Physically demanding position, including:
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, crouching, and reaching
- Regular walking throughout the warehouse
- Handling products weighing up to 50 lbs
- Work environment is typical of an office and warehouse setting. Occasional evening or weekend work and overtime may be required based on operational needs
Standard work schedule of five (5) days per week, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Entitled to a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch break.
