Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. Candidates with skills in forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair are highly valued to support various operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight to various locations according to schedule
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle functionality
- Operate heavy equipment safely during loading, unloading, or other operational tasks
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving for at least 1 year, freight transportation, or related fields
- Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair or troubleshooting skills is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and safety checks
- Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols at all times
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks as required
- Flexibility to work various shifts depending on operational needs
Pay: $24.00-$36.50 per hour
