We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 2nd Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of skilled electricians. Responsibilities will include assisting in various electrical tasks including installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
Commercial and residential projects.
- Only local apprentices will be considered - Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced electricians in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Understanding of Ontario electrical code.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of electrical systems and practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts, principles, and terminology.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the electrical trade.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn are essential.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials as needed.
