Overview
We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to take over an established in-clinic caseload from our current SLPA as of August 2026, in Surrey BC. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to step into a full caseload of pediatric clients on Tuesdays and Saturdays and ensuring continuity of care for children and families currently receiving services. There is significant potential for caseload growth and the addition of further workdays.
A minimum of 12 months of experience working as an SLPA to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in providing high-quality therapy services to children of various ages.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of speech and language development, experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and a passion for helping children achieve their communication goals.
Most therapy sessions take place at our clinic, with occasional opportunities to provide services in clients' homes. Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are essential for this role.
Duties
- Completion of a recognized Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 12 months of experience working as an SLPA.
- Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and evidence-based therapy practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while following treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Current Criminal Record Check.
- Valid BC driver's licence and access to a vehicle are considered assets.
Responsibilities (as per SLPA scope of practice)
- Implement therapy programs developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Conduct individual and small-group therapy sessions.
- Prepare therapy materials and activities.
- Collect data and document client progress
- Communicate professionally with families and caregivers regarding session participation and home practice activities.
- Assist with administrative and organizational tasks related to therapy services.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Schedule
- Primarily Tuesdays and Saturdays.
- Opportunity to expand hours as caseload grows.
- Most services are provided at the clinic, with occasional home-based sessions.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly contract rate based on education and experience.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
