Located in the heart of Corktown, The Rosebud is a chef-driven restaurant built around seasonal ingredients, scratch cooking, and genuine hospitality. We are a small, tight-knit team that cares deeply about the food we create, the guests we serve, and the community we are part of.
We are looking for one strong chef to join our 3-person kitchen team.
This is more than just a typical kitchen job. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of building something meaningful ,someone who takes pride in their work, cares about the details, and wants to grow with the restaurant over the long term.
You will work closely with our team, cooking with seasonal ingredients and making nearly everything from scratch. In a small kitchen, every person has an impact. Your ideas, standards, and attention to detail matter, and there is an opportunity to contribute to the direction and evolution of what we do.
As a small independent restaurant, everyone wears multiple hats. We all contribute wherever needed , from prep and service to cleaning, doing dishes, organizing, receiving deliveries, and helping the team succeed. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their role and understands that the success of the restaurant comes from everyone working together.
Because our kitchen is fully open to the dining room, professionalism, cleanliness, and a calm, respectful presence are essential. We value someone who is dependable, organized, humble, and takes pride in creating a positive environment for both the team and our guests.
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 3 years of professional cooking experience
- A passion for seasonal, ingredient-driven, scratch cooking
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Excellent organization and cleanliness
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality
- Someone who wants to be part of a small team and grow with the restaurant
- Pastry experience is a bonus
