Title: Community Health Nurse – Remote (remote community)
Salary: $94,724 – $114,261 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: 4 year - Term
Hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday – Friday, we offer 2,3,and 4 week rotations
Location: Kitkatla, Dolphin Island
Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

About the role
As Community Health Nurse, you will – Provide a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services in remote First Nations communities in program areas of community and public heath, primary care, and urgent and emergent care. This includes health promotion and disease and injury prevention for individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be –

Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Remote Community Health Nurse must be remote certified (RNC) with BCCNM.

Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support Certification Level C;

Requires a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

Minimum one (1) year of recent point-of-care nursing experience in a related or relevant field

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
