Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team! In this vital role, you will support the kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals
- Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations throughout shifts
- Ensure all food is stored correctly in accordance with safety regulations
- Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously when required
- Support the team during busy periods to ensure timely meal service
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or a restaurant environment is preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking processes
- Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures
- Experience working in fast-paced kitchen settings is advantageous
- Strong understanding of the food industry standards and hygiene regulations
