Annual salary: $1,792.24 - $2,257.45 biweekly

The location of this role will be our Edmonds office in Burnaby British Columbia.
As a Co-op student, you will learn and experience:
- Learning experience directly related to your specific field of study (electrical distribution).
- Learning about Alterations/ changes in 3-phase & Single-phase distribution network of BC hydro and update GIS
(Distribution Analysis & Design software) and generate different GIS maps (Distribution overhead map, Underground
distribution map, Primary network Map, Underground Feeders Map etc)
- Learning about GIS data mismatch & field noted discrepancies
- Learning and training opportunities, including opportunities to network with your division.
- Learn about other Divisions and Departments at BC Hydro.
- Take advantage of the opportunity to explore future career options.
- Provide assistance and support to GIS distribution team.
- Work mainly in the office but may participate in some field work.
- Participate in high value, multi-disciplinary project work and gain valuable insight into the organization and implementation
of large capital projects. Gain exposure to the exciting and increasingly growing hydro electric industry.
What you bring
- To qualify as a candidate, individual's must be enrolled and yet to graduate from a recognized post-secondary institution in
Canada.
- Completed a minimum of 2nd year of Electrical Engineering Degree studies at an accredited university.
- Familiarity with GIS & electrical distribution components would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong communication skills, highly motivated and results oriented.
