Position Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time, On-Call Systems Administrator to assist with the setup and configuration of company computers and user accounts for new employees. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude who enjoys hands-on system preparation and troubleshooting.
Work is performed on an as-needed basis, typically aligned with employee onboarding schedules. This is an onsite position based in Montreal, QC.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and configure computers for new employees
- Install and configure operating systems, email accounts, and security tools
- Configure Salesforce user access and permissions
- Verify that all devices are functioning properly prior to deployment
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and configuration issues
- Coordinate equipment preparation based on onboarding timelines
- Maintain accurate records of company hardware and assigned equipment
- Perform software updates and basic system maintenance as required
- Document setup procedures and configuration standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience setting up and configuring computers and user accounts
- Salesforce experience
- Strong understanding of Windows environments, hardware, software, and basic networking
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Previous experience in IT support, systems administration, or technical operations
- Experience supporting employee onboarding and workstation deployments
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
