Job Summary
We are a small but growing company looking for a hands-on, reliable Apprentice/Helper for Structured Wiring and Security. This role includes installing and maintaining structured cabling and electronic security systems in both commercial and industrial settings. You may travel across the Maritimes during the week and return home for weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist Technicians with the Set up, configure and troubleshoot security systems/alarms, cameras (CCTV), access control, Network equipment, Computers, Wireless AP's, Wireless PTP & PTMP Systems.
- Assist with the Set up and configure security systems, including alarms, cameras (CCTV), and access control.
- Troubleshoot and repair system issues
- Maintain clean and accurate documentation of installations
- Follow all safety procedures and industry standards
- Interact professionally with clients on-site
Qualifications
- An interest in structured wiring, security systems, access control, electrical, or technology.
- Knowledge of low-voltage systems, wiring standards, and diagnostic tools
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Comfortable with physical work, including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces
- Criminal background check required due to security access
Schedule & Travel
- Primarily weekday work
- Occasional night and weekend work based on project needs.
- Travel throughout the Maritime provinces is required, with all technicians returning home on weekends.
- Company vehicle is not provided, You will be responsible to get yourself to the shop in Burnside each morning.
- You will travel with the technician your are working with in a Company vehicle.

- 8 or 10" Groove Joint Pliers/Channel Locks (Milwaukee 48-22-6550)
- 8 or 10" Torpedo Level (Milwaukee 48-22-5106)
- Screw Driver(s) PH1, PH2, PH3, SL1/4", SL3/16", SQ1, SQ2, SQ3 (Can be a multi-bit or individual)
- Tool Bag

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
