Our client is looking for a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role supports high-volume recruitment by managing multiple openings, building talent pipelines for specialized roles, and delivering an efficient, positive hiring experience for leaders and candidates. The ideal candidate is organized, relationship-focused, and able to balance speed, accuracy, and quality while contributing to continuous improvement in recruitment practices.
Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle recruitment for high-volume hiring, from intake to onboarding.
Develop sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill, clinical, regulated, and specialized roles.
Screen candidates and verify education, licensing, and role-specific qualifications.
Partner with hiring managers to manage priorities, timelines, and communication.
Track recruitment activity, metrics, and documentation with accuracy.
Support hiring in a unionized environment, applying collective agreement requirements.
Improve recruitment processes and support evolving systems and workflows.
Represent the organization at job fairs and hiring events as needed.
Deliver a positive candidate experience through timely communication and organized follow-up.
3–5 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience managing multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
Proven success sourcing hard-to-fill, regulated, clinical, or specialized roles.
Experience recruiting in a unionized environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruitment, from intake to offer.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work independently.
Proficient with ATS platforms, Excel, and recruitment tools; experience with Avature or CareerBuilder is an asset.
Reliable transportation is an asset for attending hiring events and visiting multiple locations.
