We are a well-established local manufacturer based in Saskatoon, seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Accounting Administrator to join our leadership team. Overview
As an Accounting Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This dynamic position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a commitment to excellence. You will manage various accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise will help us maintain financial health and support strategic decision-making across the organization.
What you’ll do
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate on budgeting processes, forecasting future financial trends, and providing valuable insights for strategic planning.
- Work along side junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Utilize our software (Epicor) for efficient bookkeeping, journal entries, and financial report generation.
- Engage in auditing processes to verify compliance with internal controls and improve operational efficiencies.
Basic qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including double-entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and cash flow analysis.
Proficiency in financial report writing and interpretation to communicate complex data clearly
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with non-profit or governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with private equity or corporate finance principles enhances your candidacy.
