Job Summary
We are seeking motivated students and recent graduates for a Business Development, Market Research & Management Co-op placement opportunity. This hybrid position provides hands-on experience in market research, business development, customer outreach, and strategic growth initiatives within the Canadian food and distribution industry.
Successful candidates will work closely with company management on real-world projects, gain practical business experience, participate in team meetings and training sessions, and contribute to the development of business opportunities across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research on retailers, distributors, wholesalers, food service businesses, and industry opportunities across Canada.
- Collect, organize, and maintain business information using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and company databases.
- Assist with identifying potential customers, suppliers, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Support business development and outreach activities.
- Participate in project meetings, training sessions, and business planning discussions.
- Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and business documentation.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations that support company growth and market expansion.
Qualifications
- Current student or recent graduate in Business, Marketing, Management, International Business, Supply Chain, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Strong communication, research, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online research tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Interest in business development, market research, sales, marketing, or entrepreneurship.
- Additional language skills are considered an asset
Location
Hybrid position based in North York, Ontario.
Candidates must be located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and be available to attend in-person meetings, training sessions, and project activities at our North York office.
Internship Duration
Approximately 3 months.
