Health Care Aide – Calgary Casual Pool
Compassion Network Home Care is seeking a dedicated Health Care Aides of various availability to join our Calgary Casual Pool.
As an integral part of our clients’ daily lives, you will provide the essential physical and emotional support they rely on to live comfortably and safely. Beyond day-to-day care, you will act as a vital link to our broader team, sharing insights and ideas with supervising healthcare professionals to continuously elevate the quality of life and well-being of those we serve.
Shift Details
- Schedule: Various
- Hours: 2 to 12 hours per day
Key Responsibilities
- Providing Personal Care: Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and other health-related tasks as delegated by the supervising health care professional (LPN, RN, or physician).
- Home Support: Managing household activities, including meal preparation, cooking, light housekeeping, and shopping.
- Ensuring Safety: Maintaining a safe, comfortable, and secure environment for the client.
- Elevating Care: Finding creative and effective solutions to improve the client's overall well-being and quality of life.
- Documentation: Reporting updates and documenting necessary information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Professional Execution: Performing all duties diligently, compassionately, and safely within your designated scope of practice.
Education & Experience
- License: Health Care Aide (HCA) CLHA Registration
- Life Support: Current CPR/BCLS certification is required.
- Language Skills: Must speak, read, and write English.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy is required for documentation and communication.
- Assets: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting and/or experience working as a Health Care Aide is considered a strong asset.
