Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Shuttle Bus Driver (ON CALL) to safely transport passengers within our community. This role requires flexibility, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate a vehicle in various conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, including children and seniors, and possess strong communication skills. Duties
- Safely operate shuttle buses to transport passengers to designated locations within the community or campus.
- Ensure passenger safety by adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Assist passengers, including children and seniors, with boarding and disembarking as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical checks of the vehicle before and after shifts.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information or assistance as required.
- Keep accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and any incidents or concerns during transportation.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to driving, safety, and customer service.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement preferred.
- Experience working with children, seniors, or individuals with special needs is highly desirable.
- Multilingual abilities such as Bilingual in Spanish, Polish and English are a plus.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse passenger groups.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting is beneficial.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours on an on-call basis, including evenings and weekends if needed.
- Prior experience in teaching, writing skills, or caregiving roles is advantageous but not required.
