The Opportunity
Armstrong Milling is looking for a Customer Service & Export Lead at our Hagersville-area facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys coordinating customer service, exports, compliance, and cross-functional communication.
As the Customer Service & Export Lead, you will play a key role in supporting our Canadian and U.S. customers, coordinating order entry, delivery timing, export documentation, and customer compliance activities. You will also help coach and support the Customer Service team while working closely with Sales, Production, Inventory, Logistics, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer service and order entry for key accounts, including U.S. business and Canadian Tire.
- Set and revise delivery dates based on production capacity and inventory availability.
- Communicate lead-time changes to Customer Service Representatives and the Sales Manager.
- Coordinate shipments with production scheduling to support on-time delivery and reduce compliance fines.
- Assist with EDI integration and provide customers with accurate SKU information.
- Maintain direct ship orders and ensure required border crossing and container documentation is completed accurately.
- Support and coach the Customer Service team in order entry and outbound logistics.
- Report price discrepancies to Sales on a weekly basis.
- Ensure products are registered in the appropriate U.S. states prior to shipment.
- Prepare and maintain paperwork required for cross-border shipments.
- Act as a notary for Armstrong Milling for export documentation.
- Send weekly and monthly metrics reports on fill rates, sales, and forecasting.
- Maintain a library of customer compliance program documentation.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer compliance portals and programs.
- File and manage formal compliance disputes where needed.
- Work with internal teams to minimize customer penalties and improve service performance.
- Escalate invalid penalties to senior customer contacts when appropriate.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and required company meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality and support a safe, compliant workplace.
What We’re Looking For
- 4–6 years of experience in customer service, order management, logistics or export/import operations, ideally in manufacturing or distribution
- 1–2 years in a senior coordinator or lead capacity supporting a team or key accounts
- College diploma in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics or a related field; bachelor’s degree is an asset
- Experience with cross-border shipments, customer compliance programs or retail customer portals is a strong asset
- Experience in customer service, export coordination, logistics, supply chain, or order management.
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or federally regulated environment is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication, computer and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working across departments and with external customers.
- Experience using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and order entry tools.
Working Environment
- Based at Armstrong Milling head office in the Hagersville / Nelles Corners area.
- On-site role with some work-from-home flexibility as needed.
- Full-time position in a collaborative, safety-focused manufacturing environment.

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
