Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking carpenter apprentice or carpenter to join our crew. You’ll work directly alongside experienced carpenters on a variety of job sites across the campbell river and comox valley, gaining hands-on skills while contributing to real projects from day one.
Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman carpenters with framing, interior finishing, decking, siding installation, and renovation work
- Measure, cut, and install wood, engineered lumber, and other building materials accurately
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, site plans, and work orders
- Install windows, doors, trim, and other finish carpentry elements
- Assist with concrete forming, foundation prep, and retaining wall construction
- Set up, operate, and maintain hand and power tools safely
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and compliant with WorkSafeBC regulations
- Load/unload materials and assist with site logistics
- Follow direction from lead carpenters and site supervisors
- Communicate any issues, hazards, or concerns to the supervisor promptly
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
