Responsibilities -
- Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Performing food preparation duties
- Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Keeping the work stations stocked
- Keeping the kitchen area & equipment clean and sanitized
- Performing duties efficiently and ensuring quality of product
- Inventory control and ordering
Skills
- Be able to understand kitchen orders and work efficiently
- Have a passion for cooking
- Have knowledge about kitchen hygiene & safety procedures
- Have knowledge about different cooking recipes and kitchen equipment
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Be able to work under pressure
- Ablility to stand for long hours
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a kitchen (1+ years)
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures, Grill, Deep Fryers, Flat top etc.
- Shifts can include: evenings and weekends. We are currently open Tuesday to Saturday. (Our goal is to have a set schedule for our kitchen and front of house staff.)
