Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our residential construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for framing, installing doors and windows, building decks, finishing interior trim work, and completing general carpentry tasks on new home builds and renovation projects. Applicants should have experience reading blueprints, using power tools, and working effectively as part of a construction crew. Strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Duties
- Perform carpentry work for residential renovation and new build projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, whole-home renovations and new builds.
- Demolish and remove existing materials while protecting finished areas of occupied homes.
- Frame walls, install doors and windows, and complete structural modifications as required by renovation plans.
- Install trim, mouldings, cabinetry, shelving, flooring, and other finish carpentry elements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, renovation drawings, and project specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Complete repairs and modifications to existing structures while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite, especially in occupied residential environments.
- Follow all safety procedures, building codes, and company standards.
- Identify and communicate unforeseen site conditions or renovation challenges to supervisors.
- Assist with general construction and renovation tasks as required.
Experience
- Previous residential carpentry experience
- Knowledge of construction methods and building codes
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
