About Us
Little Galaxy is looking to hire a devoted individual with a positive attitude to work as a Program Coordinator at our multiple locations in GTA. The school follows the Montessori curriculum for children above 1.5 years and a regular program for the infants. This position supports Centre Supervisors and Educators by monitoring program implementation, maintaining compliance with licensing requirements, coaching staff, and promoting best practices in both Montessori and play-based learning environments.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Quality Assurance
- Monitor and evaluate program quality across Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten classrooms.
- Develop and coordinate monthly themes and activity plans that align with curriculum goals and support engaging learning experiences across all age groups.
- Ensure classrooms consistently follow established daily schedules, routines, and programming expectations.
- Ensure curriculum implementation aligns with organizational philosophy, Montessori principles, and Ontario's "How Does Learning Happen?" framework.
- Conduct regular centre visits, classroom observations, and program reviews.
- Support educators in creating engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
- Develop and implement program improvement plans where necessary.
Staff Coaching & Support
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to Centre Supervisors and Educators.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff.
- Identify professional development opportunities and training needs.
- Promote positive team culture and best practices in classroom management and child engagement.
Curriculum & Program Development
- Assist in developing and enhancing Montessori-inspired and play-based programming.
- Support educators in lesson planning and documentation of children's learning.
- Ensure materials and classroom environments meet developmental and program standards.
- Promote inclusive practices that support diverse learners and families.
- Collaborate with Centre Supervisors to ensure monthly programming is implemented consistently across all locations.
Qualifications
Required
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field. Equivalent post-secondary education will also be considered.
- Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) is considered an asset but is not required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in a licensed childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of CCEYA, Ministry licensing requirements, and Ontario early learning frameworks.
- Experience working with Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check and Standard First Aid/CPR-C.
Preferred
- Montessori certification or experience working in Montessori environments.
- Experience overseeing multiple childcare locations.
- Experience conducting staff training and program audits.
- Knowledge of Child Care Management Software and digital record-keeping systems.
Pay: $67,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
