Job Summary
Angels Land Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (ECE-IT) to join our team. **NOT ECE-A ** The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in early childhood education and is committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for young children.
This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, supporting children’s social and emotional growth, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate, play-based lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment where all children feel valued and respected.
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and independence.
- Observe, document, and assess children’s progress; provide regular feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance programming and share best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and developmental reports.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with families regarding children’s progress and classroom activities.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support children with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) -IT certification (BC License to Practice preferred).
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Strong time management and lesson planning abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with children with diverse abilities is an asset.
- Familiarity with digital tools for documentation and assessment is an asset.
- Fluent in English (required)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Work Location: In person
