Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Shawarma Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and handle food preparation in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with professionalism. This role involves preparing delicious shawarma dishes, operating POS systems, and ensuring a clean and safe dining experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic shawarma and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience
- Manage cashier duties with accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food presentation, portion control, and maintaining inventory levels
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve customers promptly without compromising quality
- Uphold sanitation standards by adhering to health regulations and restaurant policies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; experience with food preparation or kitchen work is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales opportunities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
