Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse or HCA specializing in Pediatrics to join our care team for our child. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric nursing, demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care to children. This role involves working closely with patient and their family, ensuring a supportive and healing environment while managing various medical conditions. (Shifts are Sunday 7am to 1 pm, Monday, Tuesday, and Fridays 7am to 5 or 7pm). Applicants must be available to work all required shifts. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric client, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Perform tracehostomy care and suctioning.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate medication administration and monitoring for side effects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
- Assist in pain management strategies tailored to the needs of pediatric patients.
- Maintain a safe and clean medical office environment while adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Current HCA or LPN license.
- Previous experience in Pediatrics is preferred; experience with tracheostomy clients is a plus.
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with child and their family compassionately.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in pediatric nursing.
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
Experience:
- traceheostomy: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- LPN License or HCA Licence (Alberta Certified) (required)
