THE ROLE
As a Roofing Laborer, you are the backbone of our operations. You will be working outdoors in various weather conditions, supporting our lead installers. This is a physically demanding role that offers the opportunity to learn a valuable trade from the ground up. We are also hiring experienced roofers. Salary based on experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Preparation: Unloading and organizing materials and tools
Tear-off & Cleaning: Remove old roofing materials and ensure the job site is kept clean and free of debris throughout the day
Installation Support: Assist journeyman roofers with underlayment, flashing, and shingle application
Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety protocols
WHAT YOU BRING
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work on your feet all day
Comfort with Heights: You aren't just "okay" with heights; you're comfortable working on various roof pitches
Reliability: A "show up on time, every time" attitude
Team Spirit: Willingness to take direction and work well with a crew
Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transport to get to job sites around Parksville and Qualicum Beach
Experience: Previous construction or roofing experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic
