Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety and quality of all dishes.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setup and breakdown of cooking stations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
