- Possibilities: Our belief shapes what’s next. Our technology powers the most reliable and energy-efficient connections around the world – and our team powers new products and markets that come next.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement optomechanical package and modules for system and components including LED/lasers, detectors, and fiber optics.
- Create technical drawing, specification, and test plan for OSAT/CM engagement.
- Analyze the process flow and contribute to the system design.
- Perform thermal and mechanical tests to validate packaged components/systems.
- Drive reliability testing and failure analysis to ensure long-term performance.
- Support the product development process through to manufacturing implementation.
- Prepare detailed documentation including design specifications, process flows, and test reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Optical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in optical or photonic packaging design and manufacturing.
- Hands-on expertise with fiber alignment, die attach, wire bonding, and hermetic sealing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software (ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Strong understanding of thermal management, stress analysis, and optical alignment techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-speed optical transceivers or photonic integrated circuits.
- Familiarity with precision assembly equipment and epoxies.
- Knowledge of telecom/datacom standards and reliability testing methodologies.
