We’re Hiring Factory Workers, Offshore Factory Freezer Vessels

We are currently accepting applications for dynamic, self-motivated personnel, who are interested in a career in the fishing industry for Factory Worker positions across our fleet of offshore factory freezer fishing vessels.
Responsibilities
- Process various species of fish at sea in Ocean Choice International onboard production facilities.
- Weigh, package, and label processed fish products in accordance with company quality standards.
- Handle product on the factory floor, including loading pallets and organizing stored product in the cargo hold.
- Sort and inspect various fish species and safely operate fish processing equipment.
- Load and unload product in freezer areas as required.
- Identify different species of fish, with on-the-job training provided.
- Participate in factory clean-up activities throughout the trip and at the end of each voyage.
- Participate in required safety drills, training sessions, and factory safety meetings.
- Learn, understand, and adhere to company quality assurance standards and procedures.
- Work a trip-on/trip-off rotation schedule and collaborate with members of the opposite rotation while in port.
- Work in temperatures as low as -30°C and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Marine Emergency Duties and a Transport Canada Seafarer’s Marine Medical Certificate.
- Fishing Master’s Classification or Bridge Watch Certificate considered an asset.
- Factory freezer/trawler experience is an asset.
- Valid Code of Conduct.
