Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures with a positive attitude.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic.
- Handle multi-line phone systems efficiently to answer inquiries, provide appointment information, and direct calls appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records by updating electronic medical records (EMR) systems and managing documentation in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Verify insurance information, process claims, and communicate coverage details clearly to patients.
- Manage front desk operations including billing, payments, and processing correspondence to ensure smooth daily workflow.
- Support clinical staff by coordinating patient flow and preparing necessary paperwork for procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental practice management software, Tracker knowledge is an asset.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental and healthcare settings.
- Experience working in a dental or medical office environment, especially in front desk or administrative roles.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, insurance companies, and vendors.
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in handling scheduling, billing, and recordkeeping tasks.
