Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as School Age Care Staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with children in an recreational setting. The hours are Mon to Fri 7:00 - 9:00 and 2:00 - 6:00 pm.
This position will start Sept. 1 , 2026.
Responsibilities
- Engage with students in fun and engaging activities.
- Assist in implementing recreational programs.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children during program hours
- Work with up to 24 children ages 5 - 11 with 1 - 2 other staff
- plan various activities
- join in and engage in daily planning meetrings
- Clean and sanitize toys at end of day
Requirements
- Background in recreational programing
- Experience working with children ages 5 - 11
- Ability to supervise students effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children
- Must be fluent in written and oral English
- Hold or be willing to complete the responsible adult course or have equivelent
- Hold or be willing to get a first aid certificate
- Must be prompt and ready to work at start of shift
- Experience working with children an assset but not necessary. Attitude is essential
***Holders of valid ECE license will be eligible for $6 wage enhancement
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
