What’s my role as an Expeditor?
As an Expeditor, you are responsible for making sure that food quality and plate presentation is up to our standards. You are always helping to make a warm and enjoyable pub experience for our guests; to have a welcoming and friendly energy and provide the highest level of service; meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations by ensuring that the guest has everything that they need before leaving the table such as condiments and cutlery.
Who do I report to?
When on shift you will report to the floor manager or kitchen manager on duty.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
· Being able to multi task
· Strong interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills in relation to managing the pass through as well as the general organization of each individual bill
· High level of timeliness and quality standards
· Current Food Safe Certificate
JOB FUNCTIONS:
· The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures
· The ability to multi-task and be able to work in a fast paced environment
· The ability to give instructions to other co-workers in a positive fashion
· The ability to have in-depth knowledge of food and plate presentations in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation
· The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing and receiving instruction and encouragement as needed
· The ability to ensure a clean, neat and organized work area
· The ability to ensure the quality and timeliness of the guest experience through monitoring proper food bill times
· The ability to respond properly in any emergency or safety situation
· The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management
· The ability to make quick decisions when a problem arises and execute a solution in the absence of a manager or supervisor that will best ensure the guest has a quality experience
· The ability to respect and communicate with the kitchen regarding all guest requests
· The ability to communicate any and all guest feedback to the manager on duty
· The ability to inform the manager on duty of any and all guest issues so as to provide a quality experience
· The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the set standards of the pub and encourage staff to do the same
