ALL IN: The 2025-2029 Lambton College Strategic Plan
Specific Accountabilities:
- First point of contact for students, faculty, staff, prospective students, the college community, and more, regarding tutoring inquiries
- Oversees a variety of office administration duties: maintains departmental computer drive; typing; office supplies; maintenance of current contact lists; and files and records
- Creates, updates, and maintains tutor training documents and manuals
- Creates, updates, and maintains communications material to promote Tutoring Services, including but not limited to, posters, PowerPoint slides, presentations, e-newsletters, etc.
- Helps onboard and train new tutors on tutoring reservation system
- Helps manage and oversee tutoring reservation system
- Coordinates appointments, meetings, workshops, and other scheduling related activities
- During peak times of the year, provide administrative assistance for the Academic Materials Coordinator, by tracking requisition submissions, source missing information, updating spreadsheets/databases, and preparing documentation to support ordering cycles for textbooks, ILMs, and program kits
- Other duties as assigned
About the Position:
This is a temporary, part-time support staff position replacing a bargaining unit employee. This position will start in July 2026 and end in September 2027. Reporting to the Dean, Global Engagement & Academic Services this role works 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $26.05
The incumbent works as an integral part of the team providing administrative support to tutors and exceptional customer service to students and the college community. This service provides academic support for students and contributes to student success and retention.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a 2 year post-secondary diploma
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing advanced customer service
- Experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced office environment
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong technical skills – working in a Microsoft Office environment
- Requires effective time management skills to meet the peak business cycle demands
- Organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and attention to detail is required
