Do you take pride in beautiful gardens and enjoy leading a team? Vandenberg Landscapes is looking for an experienced Landscape Gardener Crew Lead to join our Lawn and Garden Maintenance Division.
Who We Are:
Vandenberg Landscapes is a thriving and well-established landscaping business based in Chilliwack, BC. Our company recently branched out from landscape installations and began a Lawn & Garden Maintenance Division. We specialize in high-end garden maintenance and horticultural care, and are looking for a Landscape Gardener Crew Lead who is passionate about horticulture, enjoys working outdoors, and is ready to lead a crew dedicated to exceptional service.
We work Monday through Friday, year-round, rain or shine. Our company is based in Chilliwack, but we work throughout the Fraser Valley (Langley, Surrey, Maple Ridge, etc.).
Landscape Gardener Crew Lead Responsibilities:
- You'll be running a team that keeps luxury residential gardens looking their best year-round (weeding, deadheading, raking, mulching, edging, etc.)
- Attending to all the details that make properties look tidy and loved
- Trimming shrubs and pruning plants
- Seasonal tasks like planting annuals, soil amending, and fall/spring cleanups
- Encouraging and bringing out the best in your crew
- Communicating with residential customers about their gardens
- Minor irrigation maintenance/repairs
- Using handheld power equipment (blowers, trimmers)
Qualifications:
- At least one year of recent experience leading a landscaping or gardening crew
- Proficient with landscaping hand and power tools, as well as basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
- Knowledge of plants and horticultural best practices
- BC Driver’s License
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift heavy objects (50 pounds)
- Ability to drive company truck and trailer (or willingness to learn)
- Experience maintaining irrigation systems is considered an asset, as is experience driving a tractor and skid-steer

Expectations:
- Ability to get to our work yard in Chilliwack on time each day with your own vehicle
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Willing to work full 8-hour days on site
- Have your own work boots and rain gear
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
