Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable MDM solutions using Java, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data integration projects.
- Implement data quality rules, validation procedures, and workflows to maintain accurate master data across multiple systems.
- Utilize tools like Tableau for data visualization and reporting to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Manage and optimize large-scale data warehouses utilizing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and AWS cloud services.
- Develop and enhance database schemas, stored procedures, and queries using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational databases.
- Support agile development methodologies by participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Conduct analysis of complex datasets using SQL, Python, machine learning techniques, and analysis skills to identify patterns and improve data processes.
- Design efficient database architectures with a focus on database design principles for scalability and performance.
- Automate routine tasks using Bash scripts (Unix shell) to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience as an MDM Developer or similar role with a strong background in Java programming.
- Hands-on experience working with data management tools such as Tableau, Hadoop, Spark, and AWS cloud platforms.
- Solid understanding of relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle; proficiency in SQL is essential.
- Familiarity with big data ecosystems and technologies like Hadoop and Spark for processing large datasets.
- Knowledge of data warehouse architecture principles and best practices for database design.
- Experience working within Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies to deliver iterative solutions effectively.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Exposure to machine learning concepts using Python or similar languages is a plus.
- Ability to write Bash scripts for automation tasks in Unix/Linux environments is desirable.
