Courier
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely picking up and delivering packages, documents, and other items in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver packages according to assigned routes and schedules.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, safely, and on time.
- Verify delivery information and obtain signatures or proof of delivery when required.
- Load, unload, and handle packages with care to prevent damage.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery records using mobile devices or company systems.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous courier, delivery, or driving experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable using GPS navigation and mobile applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of local roads and delivery routes.
- Experience using handheld scanners or delivery management software.
