We are excited to be adding to our talented team in Langley! We are currently seeking a Service Manager. This position is central to our success, leading our service department from the first customer call through to a completed, invoiced job. Our customers rely on us to repair their commercial signs and keep their lights on. Are you ready for the challenge?
The Position
You will manage incoming client requests and oversee the planning and ongoing management of service work. You will provide responsive, accurate quoting and estimating, and make efficient use of subcontractors and technician labour to maximize job profit. You will ensure timely invoicing and progress billing, and capture all job expenses and permit requirements as work progresses. You will also work to grow customer wallet size and deepen relationships with our recurring customers.
Candidates with service management, estimating, or operations experience within the construction, electrical services, sign, or related trades industry are encouraged to apply.
What You Bring to the Table
- 3+ years of experience in service management, estimating, or a related trades/construction role
- experience managing incoming call volume and planning ongoing service work
- strong quoting and estimating skills, with the ability to respond quickly and accurately
- experience coordinating subcontractors and technician labour to maximize job profitability
- familiarity with invoicing, progress billing, and tracking job costs and permit requirements
- a track record of growing and deepening customer relationships
- intermediate to advanced MS Office proficiency; comfort with estimating or service management software
- exceptional work ethic – you're not a clock watcher
- ability to multi-task and shift between administrative tasks and real-time coordination
- you're known as a solid communicator
