Job Overview:
Seeking a dynamic and results-oriented salesperson to lead our growth initiatives and to drive the expansion of our kelp-based product lines. We require an individual with strong sales experience as well as knowledge of distribution networks, supplier compliance, 3PL, and supply chain management . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, a passion for sustainability, and an in-depth understanding of the agri-foods & fertilizer industries. On-the-job training and exposure to product knowledge will be provided, after which it is expected that the Sales Lead will work independently to fulfill orders and to rotate an extensive inventory.
This position requires a full-time, in person commitment from Sooke, B.C.
Duties:
- Identify potential customers and drive engagement
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Management to create effective strategies for business development.
Experience:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
- Strong knowledge of distribution networks across various industries
