Duties
- Follow blueprints and technical schematics to measure, cut and assemble building materials to exact specifications
- Assist with specific building technique, including carpentry, masonry and installing fixtures
- Assist in the preparation and clean-up of job sites to ensure a safe working environment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Perform manual labour tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition by cleaning and performing minor repairs.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines regulations while on job site.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
Skills
- Demonstrated hands-on construction experience
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
