Lucvaa Kitchens is a custom cabinetry and millwork manufacturer serving residential, multi-residential, and builder clients across the GTA and beyond. From our 48,000 sq. ft. facility in Etobicoke, we manufacture high-quality kitchens and millwork for a demanding client base. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team.
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for final inspection and sign-off of all finished products prior to shipment. This role inspects finished cabinetry and millwork, identifies and documents defects, and implement corrective actions and address recurring issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Inspection: Conduct quality inspections on all finished products before shipment efficiently
- Incoming Material Inspection: Inspect materials at receiving so quality issues are caught and flagged early, not discovered mid-production
- QA Standards: Develop, maintain, and update QA checklists and standards as our products and processes evolve
- Defect Management: Identify and document defects, coordinate corrective actions with production, and educate the team on recurring issues and SOPs
- Quality Metrics: Track quality data, analyze defect trends, and provide feedback that drives continuous improvement
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality inspections and corrective actions
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency
What Success Looks Like
- Every finished product is inspected efficiently before shipment; anticipates failure points and inspects proactively
- Defect trends are tracked and root causes are addressed, not just symptoms
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or diploma (ex. engineering, quality assurance)
- 1+ years experience in quality assurance or quality control
- Knowledge of woodworking, drafting and ability to read shop drawings
- Sharp eye for detail (surface defects, finish inconsistencies, dimensional accuracy)
- Experience developing QA checklists, SOPs, or inspection standards
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (5S, lean, root cause analysis)
- Confident communicator who can coordinate corrective actions across departments and give constructive feedback to production
- Organized; comfortable maintaining documentation and working with quality data

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
