We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our veterinary team. The RVT will assist veterinarians with medical procedures, patient care, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory testing, and client education while ensuring a high standard of animal welfare and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
- Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and fecal tests
- Perform diagnostic imaging such as radiographs
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
- Educate pet owners on preventative care, medications, nutrition, and post-treatment instructions
- Prepare and maintain surgical and examination areas
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards throughout the clinic
- Support inventory management and stocking of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician certification/licensure in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technician program
- Strong knowledge of animal health care, anesthesia, and laboratory procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate approach to animal care and client service
- Experience with veterinary software and electronic medical records is an assetPhysical Requirements
- Ability to lift and restrain animals weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working around animals, medical equipment, and cleaning chemicals
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
