Decorama is a custom cabinetry design and build company serving the Greater Toronto Area for over 20 years. We specialize in high-quality kitchens, vanities, and built-ins, providing tailored solutions for homeowners, interior designers, contractors, and builders.
We are expanding and looking for a Kitchen Designer/Project Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about cabinetry design and highly organized in managing projects from concept to completion.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Drafting
- Create detailed and functional kitchen and cabinetry designs using AutoCAD
- Produce plans, elevations, and shop-ready drawings
- Prepare Mozaik files and cut lists (Mozaik experience is a strong asset)
- Collaborate with clients and designers to revise and finalize design packages
Project Management
- Oversee projects from initial design through production, installation, and final walkthrough
- Coordinate with shop staff, CNC operators, installers, contractors, and designers
- Track materials, hardware orders, timelines, and missing items
- Prepare daily or weekly updates on project progress
Client & Contractor Coordination
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, designers, and contractors
- Schedule site visits, follow-ups, and installation dates
- Ensure clients are always updated on timelines and any changes
Showroom & Administrative Duties
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional showroom
- Answer inquiries, book consultations, and manage client files
- Assist with quotes, pricing, and order verification
- Prepare job folders, material lists, and project checklists
Site Visits
- Conduct accurate site measurements and verify site conditions
- Ensure installations follow design intent
- Create deficiency lists and coordinate resolutions
Skills & Experience
- 1+ year of experience in kitchen design, cabinetry, interior design, or related field
- AutoCAD proficiency is required
- Experience with Mozaik Software is a major asset
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, measurements, and layout
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients and industry partners
- Ability to calculate measurements, pricing, and design requirements accurately
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
Schedule
- Full-time (30–40 hours per week)
- 8-hour shifts
- In-person role at our Toronto showroom
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
