We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our dental professionals in providing quality care to our patients. Full time or part time CDA needed starting immediately at Kootenay Dental Arts. We have a modern, progressive & fully digital practice in beautiful Nelson, BC. Ideal candidate is dedicated, organized, good at multi-tasking, and a team player. Experience is an asset, but training with existing staff for the right candidate.

This is a great opportunity with a friendly, upbeat team providing patient centered care with highly skilled dentists. Office has CBCT, IO scanner doing full range of general dentistry and implant surgeries.
Duties:
- Assist dentists during procedures
-Will work independently under dentist direction providing preventative oral care for kids and adults
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and manage patient flow
- Take dental x-rays
- Sterilize instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records
Requirements:
-Licensed as a CDA in BC
-Familiarity with Carestream dental software is a plus
- Ability to perform dental receptionist duties when needed is a benefit
