Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Used Car Manager to join our dealership team. As a Used Car Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the used car department and ensuring the successful buying and selling of pre-owned vehicles. This is a key leadership role that requires strong negotiation skills, sales expertise, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the used car department, including inventory, pricing, and sales strategies
- Develop and implement effective marketing campaigns to attract potential buyers
- Negotiate vehicle purchases from trade-ins, auctions, and private sellers
- Collaborate with the finance department to secure financing options for customers
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Used Car Manager or similar role within a dealership setting
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- In-depth knowledge of sales principles and techniques
- Familiarity with financial services related to automotive sales
- Excellent mathematical skills for pricing and profitability analysis
- Outstanding customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships
