Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient care, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and legal regulations
- Provide expert advice to patients and healthcare providers regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
- Maintain detailed records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions
- Monitor patient medication therapies for effectiveness and safety, making recommendations as needed
- Oversee the proper storage, handling, and disposal of pharmaceuticals
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop patient-specific medication plans, especially in acute care settings or pediatrics
- Educate patients on medication adherence, proper administration techniques, and health management strategies
- Stay current with new medications, industry standards, and advancements in pharmaceutical sciences
Experience
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing with applicable state board requirements
- Prior hospital or acute care experience is highly preferred
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
- Proven ability to provide compassionate patient care in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and team members
- Experience in medication management systems and pharmacy software is desirable

Pay: $66.00-$80.00 per hour
