Responsible to the Production Manager, the Operator 3 is responsible for receiving bagged and toted products from both internal and external suppliers. They are also responsible for ensuring the micro and minor bins are always full.
- Responsible for following biosecurity and other company policies.
- Responsible for the knowledge of all WHMIS and TDG regulations and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of and, executes all Company Safety Policies and Procedures as required by the organization and other regulatory agencies.
- Responsible for being self-motivated and being able to work independently
- Maintains and represents a professional and positive image for the company at all times
- Functions as a team member
- Performs other related duties as assigned, including holiday relief.
Responsiblities and Duties:
- Responsible for ensuring product is stored in efficient and safe manner while maintaining accepted inventory levels.
- Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Responsible for keeping work area clean and well organized.
- Responsible for keeping minor and micro bins full as well as completing all paperwork associated with the Operator 3 requirements.
- Advises manager when inventories run below accepted levels and notifies when product must be ordered.
- Assist Operator 1’s and Operator 2’s as necessary.
- Assist with monthly inventory.
- Informs a supervisor immediately of concerns or problems.
- Previous feed mill experience an asset.
Education Requirements:
- Grade 12 Education.
- Must possess forklift certification or be certified within 3 months
- A class 4 boiler ticket would be an asset to the position.
Skills Required:
- Must have a good command of written and spoken English language.
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Should be able to do minor maintenance and repairs.
- Physical strength and stamina to fulfill the required duties and responsibilities.
Wages: $23.91 to $26.90 per hour
