On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst – Capital Markets - Derivatives for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Business Analyst – Capital Markets - Derivatives - Job Description:
The project involves the automation of Independent Price Verification (IPV) activities for Product Control. Key deliverables include workflow enhancement, market data rate sourcing, and fair value level calculations. The role requires gathering requirements, data analysis, UAT testing, and building Proof of Concepts, with a strong emphasis on capital markets knowledge and derivative IPV experience.
Business Analyst – Capital Markets - Derivatives - Responsibilities:
- Work with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
- Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
- Demonstrate informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
- Support one or more highly complex business processes
- Gather business requirements
- Perform documentation and reconciliation of financial reports
Business Analyst – Capital Markets - Derivatives - Mandatory Skills:
- 10+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst with derivative IPV experience
- 5+ years of experience with Capital Markets financial products
- 5+ years of testing and requirement gathering experience
- Strong proficiency with MS Suite (Excel)
Business Analyst – Capital Markets - Derivatives – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- JIRA/Confluence
- Experience with market data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg)
- Exposure to valuation adjustment
- CPA/MBA/CFA or quantitative discipline
- Coding/SQL experience
Business Analyst – Capital Markets - Derivatives – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension and conversion to full-time employment.
