Reporting to the Moulds Manager, the Moulds Coordinator is responsible for coordinating mould production planning and controlling inventory to support Manufacturing in achieving optimized, cost-effective operations. This role combines production scheduling best practices with inventory management to ensure mould production runs efficiently, materials are available when needed, and resources are used effectively.
The Moulds Coordinator utilizes planning and inventory systems to generate daily and weekly production plans, firm production schedules, and material requests, ensuring optimal use of people, equipment, and processes. This includes maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory, requesting raw materials, mould-related components, and sundries required to support mould manufacturing and production activities.
The Moulds Coordinator ensures the department has all required materials on hand while keeping costs within department-specific budgets. The role also provides administrative support for payroll processes and coordinates 3D printing needs in alignment with production and mould development requirements.
Strong computer skills, a solid understanding of production scheduling, inventory control, and clear communication are essential to successfully coordinate between Manufacturing, Compounding, and Production teams.
What You Do (Responsibilities):
Administrative
- Support in overall attendance tracking and payroll input to ensure accurate attendance records and timely payouts.
- Utilize softwares such as, but not limited to: spreadsheets, solidworks, AutoCAD,
- Preform, and Bambu Studios to create, manage, plan, and schedule operations.
- Engages with production rooms and Moulds leadership to develop the optimal sequence of operations, minimize changeover times, and appropriate batch sizes to maximize efficiencies.
- Proactively communicates with the Moulds leadership any room capacity changes, preventative maintenance windows, and labour/material constraints.
- Analyze the room's performance to attainment and fulfillment and be part of the team to improve the process.
- Ensure that production plans and schedules are set accurately to ensure optimized customer fulfillment and freshness while also maintaining appropriate safety stock levels
- Collaborate with Buying and Freight teams to ensure that necessary materials and components are available on time to meet production demands.
Inventory
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory for the department.
- Work with Purchase Order and Transfer Order receivers to ensure lines are received and discrepancies are fixed and reported.
- Responsible for shipping and receiving of purchase orders and transfer orders.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels.
- Aid in production planning by ensuring materials are available.
- Ability to fix inventory using hand held scanners.
- Execute year-end count; work alongside auditors to answer questions and facilitate audit.
Pay: $25.25 per hour
