SAGE Accounting for Desktop – October 17 – November 7, 2026. This is an online delivery course that runs on Saturdays from 10:00am – 2:30pm.

More courses & dates may be added as required. Courses may be delivered either face to face or online – delivery methods will be determined as requests come in.
You may be considered to facilitate group & customized training as required. You will be given notice of this ahead of time.

Job Duties

Prepare and facilitate the delivery of the accounting software course which includes demonstrating the elements of SAGE Accounting for Desktop and facilitating student practice.
Answer student questions and provide individual feedback on written assignments.
Revise curriculum, develop appropriate learning activities and teaching plans for each teaching assignment.
Manage the classroom to provide an optimum learning environment for students.
Work cooperatively with the Continuing Education Consultant and colleagues in “team” environment.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Description

Required Qualifications

University degree or post-secondary diploma with a major in accounting or a combination of post-secondary education and experience.
A comprehensive knowledge of SAGE Accounting for Desktop.
Extensive experience (minimum of 2 years) using all elements of the software.
Ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners with the required knowledge and skills.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to teach individuals at different skill levels.
The instructor will establish and maintain an interactive learning environment which includes practice activities.
Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
Recent relevant business/industry teaching experience is an asset.
Must be available to travel across the province for customized training requests.
